- your online guide to the villages, groups and activities.
Rangeworthy and Bagstone are small villages in South
Gloucestershire, England. They are situated five miles
south-east of Thornbury and eleven miles north-east of
Bristol.
The villages lie between Iron Acton and Cromhall. They are
long villages divided by a road but have a strong community
spirit with a well used village hall, recreation ground,
primary school & church. An active village committee
organises village events including the children's Christmas
party, Summer Fete & Beer Festival. There are other
organisations such as the Court Players, Women's Institute,
Toddlers group and Parish magazine.
The village has a local pub, "The Rose & Crown", owned
by Yvonne and Martin with home cooked food. The village
also has an Indian restaurant and a uni sex hairdressers.
Lots of good public footpaths give access to the
countryside & there are bridle paths for horse riders
& cyclists.
