Rangeworthy & Bagstone Neighbourhood Watch

We are lucky to live in a relatively low crime area but incidents do occur from time to time. The more people that participate in our Neighbourhood Watch scheme, the more likely it is that crimes will be averted or solved. Many insurance companies give a discount to members of an approved scheme such as ours and membership is just £1 per annum so it can be a worthwhile investment.

We hold two meetings a year and would like more people to attend. We would be pleased to hear from you if you have any suggestions for topics to be discussed at the next meeting. In the past, we have had presentations from the police on various aspects of crime prevention (has it occurred to you that thieves regard the interior of your car as a “shop window”?) and security companies on precautions and devices to deter or delay crime. What would interest you?

Due to the natural synergy between Neighbourhood Watch and the Safer & Stronger Community Group which was recently set up to cover the Iron Acton, Rangeworthy & Wickwar area, we also post their minutes in our section on this website.

We have a welcome pack containing useful tips and information for new members. If you are interested, please phone Lyn Haigh on 228637 or Gill/Eric Briggs on 228353.
